The first touchscreen swivel tableted from Asus — the Eee PC T91 that was announced by the company at CES in January, has been confirmed by ASUS for a late May or early June release in the UK.

Eee PC T91 is expected to sell for £449 (about $685) and will include 8.9″ rotating touchscreen display that converts into a tablet and a stylus and will initially ship with Windows XP and Asus’ own touchscreen technology. Other specs include a Z520 Atom processor, 1GB RAM and a 32GB SSD hard drive and built-in Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity.

Asus is also in discussion with mobile broadband providers to produce an Asus Eee PC T91 with integrated 3G mobile connectivity. This would ship for ‘free’, but on a mobile broadband contract.

No word on US release date, but Asus has already submitted this netbook to FCC.

Eee PC 1002HA review: The Eee 1002HA is a great machine which takes the all the positives of the Eee S101 and Eee 1000H.

GadgetMix published a detailed review of Eee 1002HA. According to the review the new 1002HA is a hybrid of previously released Eee PC S101 and 1000H. “The EEE 1002HA share the many of the hardware specifications of the EEE 1000H and sleek and svelte looks of the admiring EEE S101.”

According to GadgetMix “The EEE 1002HA is a great machine which takes the all the positives of the EEE S101 and EEE 1000H. The ASUS took the challenge to produce a regular HDD-based EEE with the slim looks of S101. Are we happy with the final outcome? Yes! The 1002HA is great in performance and brings seriously professional looks. On the battery life front, it may not break and records, but with careful usage, you should easily get 3.5 hours+ of battery life.”

Pros:

Shares the same sexy looks of the EEE S101

HDD is way roomy as compared to small SSD of S101

RAM and HDD easily upgradable

Feels expensive

Smaller than the 1000H

Zippy performance with the XP

10GB EEE storage

Cons:

Battery life is not great

No extended battery options

Small right shift key

Asus launches of its new Pink Eee PC S101H in partnership with National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF) to support the Pink Ribbon cause by donating a portion of each Pink Eee PC S101H sold.

ASUS, pioneers of high fashion technology, today announced the launch of its new Pink Eee PC S101H. ASUS is partnering with the National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF) to support the Pink Ribbon cause by donating a portion of each Pink Eee PC S101H sold.

The next generation supermodel of netbooks just got sexier! The conspinkous Pink Eee PC S101H is svelte, stunning and strikes a pose in a chic combo of pink ice and Swarovski crystal-adorned hinges with a remarkably shockproof figure. With its ample 170GB hybrid storage, as well as an abundance of features and flair, the Pink Eee PC S101H is a stylish companion for the fabulous fashionista.

Sue Murray, CEO of the NBCF, encouraged the public to go pink with their next PC purchase. “We are thrilled that ASUS is continuing its support of the National Breast Cancer Foundation. Funds raised through sales of the Pink Eee PC S101H will go towards the prevention, detection and treatment of this disease, which currently claims the lives of more than 2,800 Australians each year.”

Ted Chen, Managing Director of ASUS Australia and New Zealand, said, “ASUS is happy to be supporting the NBCF and its commitment to finding a cure for breast cancer. We are proud to partner with the NBCF once again and have the utmost respect for the organisation – ASUS will do what it can to assist this worthy cause.”

Incorporating incredible portability with its featherlike weight and slim frame, the Pink Eee PC S101H is modelled on the glossy girly magazine. Equipped with features such as the ASUS exclusive Super Hybrid Engine (SHE), Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n and Bluetooth V2.0, plus Microsoft Windows XP Home including Windows Live™ Messenger and Windows Live Mail, the Pink Eee PC S101H also reflects green capabilities by consuming less energy, preserving battery life and allowing effortless connectivity for communication and computing.

Furthermore, an intuitive interface and fast boot up time means the Pink Eee PC S101H is easy to use, even for first time users – at the click of a button, access the internet and go browsing or buying! Building upon the ground-breaking form factor, ergonomics and features of its Eee PC predecessors, the Pink Eee PC S101H is a definitive digital accessory for those seeking stature. Turn heads and catch eyes parading in pink with the Pink Eee PC S101H.
